Do I have to start a tracker every time I run?+

Not for now. Runstra reads from your phone’s health app (Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android), so whatever it already records lands in your week. An in-app live tracker is on the list, just not built yet.

Does walking really count?+

Yes. Steps from any walk push you up the league ladder. Walking-first is the whole point.

I only ran 4 km, how does the 1K leaderboard see that?+

Runstra looks inside every run for your fastest continuous 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km windows. So a 4K run still produces a 1K on the 1K board. A 10K run’s best 5-km stretch competes with standalone 5Ks. You don’t have to hit exact distances for your effort to count.

How do leagues work?+

Six tiers. Monday 04:00 reset. Hit your tier’s weekly step threshold and you promote, everyone who makes it moves up, no caps. Fall short and you drop one tier (never more). Everyone starts Monday on zero, so a bad week is always one solid week away from being back.

What are bolts?+

In-app currency. Earn them by placing well in your league, clearing daily and weekly challenges (+700 on the weekly), and winning H2H races. Wager them on H2H. No real money, no IAP.

How do head-to-head races work?+

Pick a friend, pick 1K / 5K / 10K, both have 72 hours to log a fastest time. Stakes are 200 / 500 / 1,000 bolts. Fastest wins.

Free forever. Built by one person on the side, no investors, no subscription, no ads sold against your data.

Why iOS only right now?+

Honest answer: I’m a solo dev and I only own an iPhone to test with. Android is coming, I’m waiting on Google’s Health Connect to mature enough that the app can be as honest on Android as it is on iOS.

Leagues, H2H races, group runs, walks-count, and streaks all work today. Live GPS tracking, richer reactions, and Android are on the list. What you see is what’s done, not what’s promised.

What about privacy?+

We never sell your health data. Your routes stay yours; we don’t even ask for them.
